FREE HOUR OF CODE EVENTS
At S2STEM, we believe every student should get an opportunity to code.
Coding helps nurture problem-solving skills, logic, and creativity. By starting early, students will have a foundation for success in any 21st-century career path.
The Hour of Code started as a one-hour introduction to computer science, designed to demystify "code", to show that anybody can learn the basics, and to broaden participation in the field of computer science. It has since become a worldwide effort to celebrate computer science during the Computer Science Education Week (Dec 2nd week) every year.
S2STEM celebrates Computer Science Education Week by hosting multiple FREE "Hour of Code" events for K-12 at local public and private schools both in-person and virtual. We inspired over 600+ students in the last couple of years across multiple school districts in PA, DE. Some of our partner schools include but not limited to:
- St Cornelius
- Upper Darby School District
- Philadelphia School District
- Penn-Delco School District
- Chichester School District
